The Louisville Chapter of the American Marketing Association is comprised of marketing professionals from a variety of companies and organizations in the Kentuckiana area. Members' specialties range from technical market research to advertising, but each member has a common goal - to work together to become better marketers.

The AMA helps advance the marketing profession by providing informative luncheons and educational events that promote networking and continuous learning. Not only do these activities enable marketing professionals to grow their organization's sales, but to also grow professionally.

A luncheon presented by:Julie Koenig Loignon Julie is Vice President of Churchill Downs Incorporated’s Brand Marketing & Development team. Julie is responsible for the continued development, marketing and promotion of Churchill Downs Racetrack’s signature events while also developing new entertainment concepts offered through Churchill Down’s network of racing and gaming operations. In her current role, Julie is responsible for the Company’s network television strategy and creative direction, special event Web sites, Red Carpet program, celebrity/VIP recruitment and activation, and visual branding, as well as traditional marketing and communications activities. Julie previously served as Vice President of Communications where she oversaw the Company’s strategic, financial and crisis communications planning, as well as media relations and employee communications. She also provided communications counsel, training and support for the communications teams supporting three racetracks outside Louisville, KY., - Arlington Park, Calder Casino & Race Course and Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots. Julie joined Churchill Downs in 1999 after serving as an anchor, reporter and special project producer for WHAS-TV in Louisville. Prior to joining WHAS-TV Julie worked as an anchor, reporter and producer for WANE-TB in her hometown of Fort Wayne, IN. Julie has also been involved in efforts to find homes for retired racehorses. She helped establish the company’s Green Pastures Program, a marketing, public relations and fund-raising initiative designed to support the care and well being of Thoroughbreds after their racing careers are over. Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Depauw University in Greencastle, IN.
